About us

Liebherr Maritime Cranes is a division of the Liebherr Group which specialises in cargo handling solutions for ports as well as for the shipping and offshore industry. Products include ship to shore cranes, mobile harbour cranes, offshore cranes, ship cranes, rubber tyre and rail mounted gantry cranes.

The ship crane portfolio from Liebherr comprises wire luffing and cylinder luffing slewing cranes, four-rope grab cranes and special design cranes. There are suitable for all kinds of material handling including bulk, containers and heavy lift operation.

Offshore cranes from Liebherr are not only used on oil and gas platforms, but also for the construction of offshore wind turbines, for handling of remote-controlled submarine vehicles or for laying pipelines and telecommunication cables on the seabed. The Liebherr range of products in the offshore area includes rope luffing machines, cranes with hydraulic cylinders or with large diameter bearings, as well as mast cranes.

Liebherr Maritime Cranes covers an extensive range of mobile harbour cranes which includes seven sizes with load capacities of 42 t to 308 t. With more than 1,900 units delivered in over 100 countries worldwide Liebherr mobile harbour cranes convince in all application areas: highly efficient container handling, bulk operations, the handling of scrap and general cargo and even heavy lifts up to 308 tons – just by an easy exchange of the lifting attachment.

Liebherr also specialises in design, manufacture and installation of state-of-the-art rail mounted ship to shore cranes, container stacking cranes, rubber tyre gantry cranes and has delivered more than 750 container cranes worldwide.

Moreover, professional maritime training simulators ensure that crane drivers achieve highest productivity levels. In addition to state-of-the-art cargo handling and training solutions, a well-structured global service network for quick response times completes the portfolio.
