Peak CSL Group consists of a group of companies operating within the shipping, logistics and engineering industry. Some of the companies in the group dates to 2005.
In 2024, 50% of Peak Group was purchased by CSL Group, and the new company name is Peak CSL Group AS.
With its team based in Bergen, Norway, currently operate about 20 general cargo-, bulk-, project and self-discharging vessels. The fleet consists of modern, fully boxed tonnage suitable for carrying generals, project cargoes, and all major bulk commodities including IMO-classified cargoes, project and self-discharging vessels in sizes ranging from 1000 dwt to 6000 dwt.
Within the total fleet of about 23 vessels, Peak owns 5 multipurpose heavy cargo vessels (B-Type) that can deliver both project cargo as well as regular bulk cargo. The B-Type vessels operate cargoes for a diversified client base. In addition, Peak owns 2 self-discharger vessels and 1 bulk vessel.
Peak is located with offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Oslo, Delfzijl and Hamburg. The staff consists of 70 administrative and 150 crew members, totaling 220 employees.
Peak Project Carriers, Peak CSL Shipping and Peak Germany GmbH with the rest of the partners have long-term relationships with most of the European Charterers. Peak CSL Group is continuously developing and enlarging their fleet to meet their customers’ requirements to continue to be a significant player in the European short-sea segment.
Fjeld Consultant and Peak Marine Tech are two engineering companies in Peak CSL Group. Fjeld Consultant delivers engineering services including planning of marine operations, port captain and supercargo services, marine warranty survey design and engineering. Peak Marine Tech delivers a wide range of deck equipment and project management for conversion projects. The clients are in the maritime sectors, including merchant, fishery, cruise, aquaculture and wind.
K2 Project Forwarding is a Project Freight Forwarding unit established by Peak CSL Group and deugro. K2 consists of a highly experienced team who provide high standards of services in projects both in Norway and globally. The company works to challenge methods and solutions to be able to execute the operation in a safe and economical manner. The unit acts as an independent company but utilizes services from both Peak CSL Group and deugro when this gives added value to customers.
Peak CSL Group and Grieg Edge have collaborated on a new joint venture, Skarv Shipping Solutions, which is a foundation for future Green Shipping. Skarv has signed a contract with Huanghai Shipbuilding for four 7000 dwt, low-carbon, multipurpose vessels for delivery in 2025 and 2026. The collaboration will offer Short Sea Zero Emission maritime logistic solutions to the market.
