Containerised Bulk Handling (CBH) with RAM Revolver is a method of containerising the bulk in sealed open-top containers. It eliminates stockpiles, reduces commodity loss and contamination of the product during transportation and unloading, with no clean up required.
CBH is an easy four-step process of 1) load, 2) seal, 3) transport by road/rail, and 4) store/unload.
It works by loading the commodity into open-top specialised bulk containers and sealing the containers with lids before transportation to their destination by road or rail (or both). The bulk containers can be stored at the port conventionally or immediately unloaded using the RAM Revolver, where the crane operator picks up the bulk container using Revolver, which locks onto the container by ISO floating twistlocks. While hoisting, Revolver lifts the lid from the container before rotating it 360 degrees, gently tipping the commodity out. Once completed, Revolver replaces the lid onto the container, and the cycle is continued.
CBH can be used on all types of cranes and commodities. The RAM Revolver can be designed to interface with new or existing crane headblocks and electrical communication systems.
