At the end of last month, at the invitation of the organizer, we took part in the premiere of the WindMover Days event in Luxembourg. The event was organized by one of our leading suppliers of specialized trailers, Faymonville. WindMover Days was dedicated to the transport challenges posed by the wind industry:
“Faymonville’s most important partners were invited to the event, including transport companies and representatives of industry associations, as well as wind turbine manufacturers, which we believe is very important,” says Monika Rybka, Executive Director of OL-TRANS.
Presence at WindMover Days was also of great importance to our company. It was there that we picked up our newest trailer – the Faymonville FlexMAX 4+7 with an adapter for transporting a wind tower.
Our new acquisition is the latest adapter in the industry. It has been designed to transport wind turbine tower sections with an internal diameter of 2550 to 5400 millimetres and a weight of up to 100 tonnes. This is the first such semitrailer in Poland and the fourth in Europe – branded with our company logo, it will prove useful when driving on winding roads and overcoming various obstacles on the route.
The Faymonville lift tower adapter can be used in practice not only for transporting tower sections. It will also prove useful when transporting similar loads. We leave a few specification details below:
📍 7-axle trailer with hydraulic suspension with forced steering,
📍 designed for 6×4, 8×4 and 10×4 tractor units,
📍 4-axle bogie with air suspension,
📍 optional extension to a diameter of 6300 millimetres,
📍 vertical stroke of the adapter 1800 mm,
📍 four control cylinders for the front and rear steering system,
📍 tower support with hydraulic and mechanical safety systems.
By the end of this calendar year, we will receive a second identical semi-trailer and two more with a similar specification branded with the logo of another manufacturer.
