Exhibitor Spotlight: Mammoet Belgium

Journalist Molly Cooper speaks to Dominique Kuypers, manager sales at Mammoet Belgium.

‘I have a background in maritime sector and in the crane branch, so I have the ability in my role to connect both worlds with each other and see how we can assist in different type of projects,’ says Kuypers.

ABOUT MAMMOET

Mammoet are a global company that specialises in heavy lifting and transport solutions for many industries including construction, oil, gas, petrochemical, mining, renewable energy and the maritime sector. Mammoet Belgium will be exhibiting at this year’s upcoming AntwerpXL event in November at Stand F46.

‘We are well known for our expertise in crane operations, but our services go well beyond just cranes,’ says Kuypers. Mammoet also works in:

  • Transportation: Involved in transporting oversized and heavy cargo using specialized equipment, such as self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), trailers, and barges. They can move large and heavy items overland or by sea.
  • Crane Rental: Provide a wide range of cranes for rent, including mobile cranes and tower cranes.
  • Plant Turnaround and Maintenance: Support industrial facilities during planned shutdowns (turnarounds) and maintenance activities by providing the necessary equipment and expertise to move and replace large equipment and machinery.
  • Specialized Rigging and Installation: Services extend to specialized rigging and installation of equipment and infrastructure components.

‘We are an expert in horizontal and vertical transportation/movement of cargo of all sizes. Ranging from a 40 ton crane to unload a truck to the erection of a splitter with a length of 105 m with a weight of 1600 tons and most importantly, in a safe manner,’ he says.

SHOWING OUR SKILLS

Mammoet Belgium can also provide our customers with tailor made solutions. Kuypers explains: ‘No order is too big to overcome. We have two offices located in the Port of Antwerp and the Port of Ghent and it is strongly intertwined with the maritime and offshore industry, offering solutions such as trans-shipment, transportation and many more.’

‘We are already 30 years present in Belgium but only five years in Antwerp with our own office with a fleet of + 40 cranes that are ready to work. We want to show our skills and successfully completed projects. Also we want do display our focus on safety and making sure everyone gets home safe after the job, each and every day,’ explains Kuypers.

Not only the networking opportunities, but AntwerpXL is also about education. It features conferences, seminars and workshops, where you can go gain the knowledge about the latest industry developments and more.

COME & SAY HELLO

AntwerpXL is the place for Mammoet Belgium to showcase its products and services to her targeted audience. ‘It is key place to meet the potential customers at AntwerpXL and build new relationships, that may lead to new business. It’s a great place to share Mammoet’s story with everyone who wants to hear it,’ say Kuypers.

Mammoet offers engineering and consultancy services to plan and execute complex lifting and transport operations safely and efficiently. This includes route surveys, feasibility studies, and 3D modelling.

‘With our Move 3D and VR goggles we can demonstrate to the visitors how is it to be in front of
a mobile crane that will lift 160 tons on 12m radius with one single lift. This technology allows us to demonstrate to clients what we want to do in virtual reality before we actually go live,’ says Kuypers.

Visitors to Mammoet’s stand will have the opportunity to experience this themselves, so don’t miss out!
