Founded in 1885, Lalemant is one of the longest standing transportation companies in Europe. Continuously looking for the next opportunity to improve its services, the group has expanded its activities as well as locations throughout the decades in order to meet customers’ needs and follow the market trends.
As it stands today, Lalemant has departments specialised in agency, barging, chartering, forwarding and trucking meaning it can fully handle door-to-door transport requirements. They look at its customers’ transport requirements in a contemporary and sustainable way.
With offices in 10 different countries, Lalemant is active from the Black Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. As a long-standing, family-owned, logistical company, Lalemant has always been a stable and flexible partner. Its experienced and complementary, making it a one-stop-shop for its customers’ waterborne and land based logistics.
As such, being at AntwerpXL is the perfect opportunity for Lalemant.
What’s new for Lalemant?
Hosted at the heart of the European breakbulk market, AntwerpXL will provide a platform for Lalemant to showcase its experience and ambitions.
The past 12 months have been marked by two major changes in the history of the Lalemant Group:
– A new office, and;
– New owners.
After more than 100 years in the Doornzelestraat, Belgium, Lalemant decided to move to new offices in the Ottergemsesteenweg, at the end of last year.
In March 2023, Christophe Webb and Arthur Seynaeve acquired a controlling stake in the Lalemant Group. These changes mark the start of a renewed and dynamic Lalemant, ready for the future while offering the same quality as ever before.
Lalemant is keen to showcase these changes at AntwerpXL – and will be co-exhibiting with Port of Antwerp-Bruges at the event.
Networking with Lalemant
AntwerpXL is the perfect setting to make new friends and meet old ones. For Lalemant, the team is eager to expand its network and discuss opportunities. Lalemant want to talk business. Business where Lalemant can add value or where it can create new value together. And of course, it’s a nice feeling just to be back in Antwerp.
Lalemant’s renewed agency activity in Antwerp and the new chartering desk in London, allows for a plethora of new and exciting opportunities. This is only the beginning for Lalemant, and it is looking into numerous opportunities in Belgium and abroad for the future.
The new Lalemant has arrived. Following a long absence in Antwerp, Lalemant believes that its presence in the port and at AntwerpXL will turn some heads and spark some interest.
Whether individuals have a specific transport need, an interesting project and are looking for a partner or just want to get to know Lalemant, feel free to pay them a visit at booth F70 on 28-30 November!
