CSSC Shipyard Delivers First of Eight F900 Eco-Lifters to UHL

The first in a series of eight state-of-the-art F900 Eco-Lifters newbuildings, MV UHL Faith, was delivered to United Heavy Lift (UHL) on January 18. UHL is taking delivery of the newbuilding MV UHL Faith at the CSSC shipyard in Hudong, China. “We affirm our company’s commitment to contributing to an eco-friendly shipping industry by investing in fuel-efficient tonnage. We look forward to taking delivery of six identical newbuildings in 2021 and two in early 2022.” says Mr. Rolner, senior advisor and founder of the United Group.

Once the new-building program is completed, UHL will service its clients with a fleet of seventeen F900 Eco-Lifter vessels, representing the most modern, versatile, and homogeneous heavy lift fleet in the market. In addition, the F900 Eco-Lifter vessels are the most fuel-efficient heavy lift vessels in service. “The carbon footprint of the F900 class is 30-50% less compared to the existing heavy lift fleet in the market.” states Mr. Bonnesen, managing director of UHL. “The new vessels offer superior intake and crane capacity to cater to the needs of a wide range of industry clients and cargos.” he adds. The vessels’ weather deck encompasses 2,990 Sqm (123.5 m x 25.6 m).

MV UHL Faith will start her maiden voyage towards Europe, where she is expected to arrive in Hamburg, Germany in February.

UHL has been expanding its global network, having recently open a new office in Houston, TX, USA. Furthermore, the commercial and operations teams have been strengthened by adding highly qualified and experienced individuals from the shipping industry. Through the engineering arm of the group, United Engineering Solutions, UHL has access to a team of over 50 naval architects, marine engineers, and port captains, who provide a range of sophisticated technical transport solutions to our clients. They design and fabricate lifting devices, load spreading equipment, grillages, and transport frames, and ensure that each voyage is planned and executed flawlessly. “We would like to thank CSSC Leasing, China, for their great support in securing the F 900 vessels in a fourteen-year time charter to UHL.” Mr. Rolner notes. “We are well prepared for the next big step on our company’s exciting journey.” he concludes.
