The Turku Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Finland district of Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics, LOGY, award every other year a recognition to the logistics company of the year. In 2023 Finnlines was elected as winner.
Reasons for the nomination were:
•Finnlines offers increased capacity for freight and passengers and can
•Offer several departures a day between Finland and Sweden
•Finnlines have invested in new, environmentally friendly freight-passenger ships
Staffan Herlin, commercial director at Finnlines says: ‘We are delighted by the recognition and proud of our role in supporting Finnish foreign trade and ensuring the security of supply. During the last few years Finnlines has made massive investments in environmentally friendly technology and the company has renewed its fleet. The new ro-pax vessels, which will enter traffic during the autumn, will increase freight and passenger capacity greatly on the Naantali–Långnäs–Kapellskär.’
The prize was handed out on 23 May.
